Soviet digital alarm clock "Elektronika 6.14-03" (Электроника 6.14-03) was produced in USSR during late 1980's and early 1990's.
The schematic and construction is very similar to Elektronika 6.15M, but
it has the buttons at the front and it has a plastic cabinet.
From Elektronika 6.14-01 it differs only by the position of the buttons.
It was built with flat 4-digit 7-segment VFD display ILC4-5/7L (ИЛЦ4-5/7Л) or IVL1-7/5 (ИВЛ1-7/5) with 21mm high digits.
Integrated circuits (CMOS):
K176IE18 (К176ИЕ18) - Crystal oscillator and prescaler.
K176IE13 (К176ИЕ13) - Clock circuit (24h mode, 4-digit).
K176ID3 (К176ИД3) - BCD to 7 segment decoder.
The clock is controlled by 32768 Hz crystal. It has 2 levels of brightness. It is made for 220V 50Hz mains.
I measured the power consumption to be about 1.7W. Backup battery (9V) can be connected.
The original price of the clock was 40 Rubles.
Control buttons (top to bottom):
1. СИГ - Alarm ON/OFF. This slide switch enables / disables alarm. When the alarm is enabled, a dot or bell symbol at the top of the display lights up.
2. ЯРК - Brightness selector. Slide left/right to set low or high brightness.
3. КОР - Reset minutes. This will set minutes to 00. Pressing this button is required before setting the time.
4. БУД - Display alarm. While holding this button, use buttons 5 and 6 to set alarm.
5. ЧАС - Set hours (can only be set when high brightness is selected).
6. МИН - Set minutes (can only be set when high brightness is selected).
When I got this clock, the transformer was loose and the fuse blown. After repairing it, the clock works.
The first and last digit of the display is a bit dimmer. The ends of the cathode seem to wear faster then the center.
