"Alfa Elektronika 12-41" Soviet digital clock

Alfa Elektronika 12-41 (Alfa Электроника 12-41) alarm clock was produced in USSR during 1980's. It was a predecessor of a newer version Alfa Elektronika 12-41A. It was built with a flat 4-digit 7-segment VFD display IVL2-7/5 (ИВЛ2-7/5) 10mm high digits and a red 5mm LED diode to indicate enabled alarm. At the front panel it has buttons to set hours and minutes, a switch to display in "minutes:seconds" mode, a switch to display alarm, and a reset button. At the top there's a low/high brightness switch and alarm enable/disable switch. It operates from 220V 50Hz mains. It draws about 1W. The original price was 18 Rubles.

My clock had a dried out electrolytic capacitor 20uF / 100V. After capacitor replacement, the clock works well.

Warning! The clock contains deadly mains voltage, any intervention is at your own risk. I do not take responsibility for your injury or death.
