"Elektronika 7-21" Soviet digital clock

Elektronika 7-21 (Электроника 7-21), later Elektronika 7-21-01 alarm clock was produced in the USSR and then Russia in the late 1980's and early 1990's. It was built with a big flat VFD display with 4 digits, day of the week indicators and other pictograms - ILC5-4/7M (ИЛЦ5-4/7М), IVL4-7/5 (ИВЛ4-7/5) nebo P-543 (П-543). It is controlled by a soviet integrated circuit KR1016VI1 (КР1016ВИ1) and clocked by 32768 Hz crystal. I measured the power consumption to be about 3W.
The clock has a little peculiar control panel - with 18 buttons. There are 10 number buttons (0-9) and 8 other buttons.
When I was repairing this (completely dead) clock, I found out that the fault wasn't an electrolytic capacitor or IC, as expected, but the crystal. After replacing the 32768 Hz crystal (modern crystal can be used) the clock works.

Warning! The clock contains deadly mains voltage, any intervention is at your own risk. I do not take responsibility for your injury or death.
