This is the simplest high voltage power supply for the Classic Tesla coil. It is made of a single MOT (transformer from microwave oven) and the doubler. High voltage capacitor and diode also comes from the microwave oven. Capacitance may be different. HV diodes can be possibly replaced using about ten 1N4007 in series. Ballast is any fluorescent 15 - 40W, it is better to use more ballasts in series (about 6 pieces). This high voltage suplly has an output peak voltage of about 6 kV. I recommend to use a suitable mains EMI filter.
